It’s time to WALK OUT who we are…not what we think we are…not what others say we are…BUT, to truly BE WHO GOD SAYS WE ARE!! What is He saying to you today?

It’s time to WALK OUT who we are…not what we think we are…not what others say we are…BUT, to truly BE WHO GOD SAYS WE ARE!! What is He saying to you today?
Sometimes I have to remind myself to focus on the NOW. It’s easy to get caught up with what we want to be happening in the future.
Our future arrives as we take one step after another. The choices we make NOW mold & shape the future we hope for…
Read the Word; Speak the Word; Pray the Word; Live the Word!!
The title of the message that my pastor gave on this special day, Father’s Day, was entitled “Walk a Little Slower Daddy” taken from a poem that he read aloud before giving his message.
Many of us are blessed to still be able to talk to our fathers and some miss those special times of sharing because our fathers have passed on to be with the best Father in the universe! Can you imagine what awesome times of talking and sharing they are engaged in!
Well! We don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to enjoy talking to Father God or to enjoy Him talking to us! He is speaking if we will just take the time to listen.
About halfway in the sermon, as my pastor said the words, “Walk a little slower daddy,” the Lord gave me a vision.
In the vision, I saw us trying to catch-up with the Father as we ran after Him down a path. But, then I saw Him stop, turn around, and lift us up onto His shoulders! God wants us to see the world from His perspective. He wants us to rest in Him – knowing HE is our strength and our support.
Instead of us having the Lord move at our pace – He enables us to move at His pace! Hallelujah!!
Beloved of God, get ready to be lifted up to a NEW LEVEL! A new level of faith; a new level of ministry; a new level of peace; a new level of love!!
*As I finished sharing my vision in church, we immediately began singing, “Love Lifted Me!” This song was scheduled before the service began. God’s timing is perfect!
Oh, precious ones! LOOK UP! Look past all of the worldly circumstances and look into Abba’s (Daddy’s) face. Can you see the love that He has for you? Can you see His arms outstretched as He bends down and lovingly lifts you up? Reach out…and BE LIFTED UP!!
With the Lord’s help, trying to initiate and strengthen good habits in 2021!!
God has spoken and continues to speak His love to you and me. I received this word from the Lord in 2011 on this day and He is still speaking it over us!❤️
“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
During this time of uncertainty and wondering who to listen to in the flow of changing information that comes across our hearing or reading, we need to remind ourselves that the word of God can be trusted. The word of God does not contradict itself. It is not dependent upon external circumstances going on around us. As a matter of fact, we can navigate the changing landscape of our lives by taking God’s word and applying it to our lives.
“All Scripture is God-breathed…” (2 Timothy 3:16) It is Truth and it is Eternal!! In the coming days, may we breathe in God’s Truth and may we walk out that Truth in strength and love!!
Lord, thank You for being our Rock on which we stand! Thank You for Your faithfulness in good times and bad! Thank You for Your word that gives us understanding and revelation of who You are and who we are as Your sons and daughters! We trust Your word…we trust Your promises…we trust YOU, O God!! Amen!
Breathing in God’s Truth, Tina K. Roach
Without counsel plans fail, but with advisors they succeed. Proverbs 15:22
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2 ESV
God does not expect us to figure things out by ourselves. As we travel this road of life, there are choices and decisions that must be made, plans that need to be fulfilled.
It is okay and even to our benefit to seek out the counsel of others. But, it is important to be aware of whose counsel we listen to. In Psalms we are reminded that we should not walk in the counsel of the wicked, but delight in the law of the Lord.
We are told in Proverbs that with many advisors our plans will succeed. But, we need to make sure that we don’t remove the Lord from our decision-making process. Yes, listen to the counsel and advice of others. But, remember to take it to the Lord before making the final decision. He knows exactly what we should do and when we should do it. And He knows exactly what we shouldn’t do!
May we take the time to go to the perfect Counselor and put our plans in His hands. And may we know that He will guide and direct us in His perfect will.
Thank You, Lord, for loving us and for helping us as we journey with each other and with You. Help us, Lord, to seek Your guidance, Your will, and Your presence in everything we do. Thank You for not leaving us to figure things out apart from You. We are so thankful!
