PENTECOST SUNDAY

PENTECOST SUNDAY
Acts 2:1-21

Come Holy Wind…Come Holy Fire…may we declare the wonders of God in boldness and power! May our sons and daughters prophesy! May our young men see visions and our old men dream dreams! May ALL your people prophesy and may ALL who call on the name of the Lord be saved!

Pour out Your Spirit upon us, O God! May we radiate with the power of the Holy Spirit within us and around us! Set Your Church on fire, O God, so our hearts will burn with love for those that do not know you!

Blow on the smoldering embers of our hearts and bring us to a roaring blaze of Your power and love! We wait with open hearts, open spirits, and open arms!

Come Holy Spirit!!

HE LOVES YOU!

As I was walking into Walmart after church one day, I found myself entering on the heels of four teenage boys – laughing and decked out in low-riding jeans and tattoos.

I found myself overwhelmed with the Love of God for them.  So much so, that I felt that I should tell them how much He loved them.

But, as we walked into the main entrance and began to separate, I kept silent.  They went to the left and I went to the right.

Feeling a little guilty, I said to the Lord, “Okay, if You want me to tell them You love them…bring them across my path again, Lord!”

Well, within 10 minutes, there they were walking almost beside me as I was going down an aisle!

I walked into the middle of them, smiled, and said, “As I was walking behind you as we were coming into the store, I was overwhelmed with the Love that God has for you!  He wants you to know that He loves you very much!  Have a great day!”

As I was walking away, I heard one of them yell after me, “Thank you!”

Later, as I was in the car, I began thinking that I should have talked to them longer.  I should have found out if they knew Jesus.  I should have…

But, then the Lord interrupted my thoughts. I heard Him say in His quiet, loving voice, No, I just wanted them to know I loved them.

Sometimes we try and complicate and over-think things.  Sometimes He just wants us to let people know that He loves them…

What Do You See?

…for we walk by faith, not by sight–2 Corinthians 5:7

May we walk every day “seeing through eyes of faith” instead of seeing only what we physically see. May we look at everything from a heavenly perspective.

May we see with the eyes of Jesus!

Things are not what they seem.  We need to let Jesus strip away our preconceived ideas about what we are seeing or what we think things should look like.

May we see with the eyes of Jesus!

May we call forth those things that are not…as though they were. May we speak God’s will and let Him use us to help align earth with heaven!

May we see with the eyes of Jesus!

HALLELUJAH!!

Unhindered JOY!

…for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from a stall.  Malachi 4:2

When I get a vision of calves skipping about when they leave their stall…I see unhindered JOY! I see a release of care and embracing the moment! Beloved of God! May you live out this vision today!! Look up unto Your God and see your healing and receive it!!

THANKFUL!

The “official” Thanksgiving Day is over…but we have many more days to celebrate our thankfulness! It all depends on where our focus lies. We will have many opportunities to see and experience things and circumstances we are NOT thankful for. But, we can choose to be thankful in the middle of them because we have Someone who will walk with us through them and Who will give us the strength to overcome!!

As we begin the journey towards CHRISTmas….may we continue to be thankful as we focus on WHO this season is all about!! I am thankful for my Lord & Savior, Jesus, and I celebrate His physical birth upon this earth and His spiritual birth within each of us!!

May we spread His love and the Good News during the coming days. If not us…then who?
