MEMORIES…

I am blessed to have some ministry opportunities coming up in the near future. So, it was time to declutter and organize my office space!

I have two handmade prayer shawls hanging from the back of my chair given to me by two dear friends. I have a picture of Jesus entirely made from the words of Scripture. It was given to me years ago by a former student and is so precious!

I have a wooden communion cup brought back from Israel after taking communion with my touring group.

I have a photo card that my host family sent me as I was resting on their couch during ministry times at their church.

I have plaques given to me during my teaching career and on my retirement.

As I sit in my office space, I am so thankful for all of my friends, family, and ministry memories. ❤️ And of course, I am thankful to Almighty God!! All glory and honor to HIM!!

And I am excited and expectant for what the future holds! There is MORE to come!!

HALLELUJAH!!!! 💥💥🔥🔥🔥💥💥

Suffering…Job 1-2

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭

Do you have a favorite Book of the Bible? Or do you have a favorite Scripture? This past Sunday we studied Job 1-2 in my Women’s Sunday School Class. I have to admit that Job is not my ”go to” book of the Bible when I am reading God’s Word.

Reading about suffering is uncomfortable and Job can be a challenging study. But, even though there are things in the Bible that make us uncomfortable or that we have a hard time understanding totally – we must be careful not to just skip them.

ALL Scripture is inspired by God and helps us to grow in our Christian life. May we embrace our journey with the Lord through the good times and through our times of suffering. May our response to life’s challenges and suffering be like Job’s:

“…he fell to the ground and worshiped.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭

“Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.” Job‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬ ‭

Prayer:
Lord, I know that I have not had to experience the level of loss that Job did. But, I have had challenging times in my life. Forgive me when I have not responded in a God-honoring way. Forgive me when I have let my eyes focus on my circumstances instead of You! Thank You for walking with me through my times of adversity/suffering and my times of joy!

Blessed be Your name, O LORD!!

The Goodness of God!

We were on our way home from spending precious time with family in Miami. First we stopped at Cracker Barrel. Nope-30 minute wait. We left and went to Outback in Daytona Beach.

The first table was in the bar area and it was too cold. We moved to a booth by a window in the main area.

Our waitress was a young woman who blessed us tremendously! Above and beyond service!! I praised her for her excellent service. ❤️. As she brought our box to go and our check, I felt the Lord’s nudge to speak a blessing over her.

I gently touched her arm, looked in her eyes and began speaking, “May this New Year…” She interrupted me by throwing her head back and laughing joyfully!

I said, “I want to speak a blessing over you.” She immediately closed her eyes and bowed low over our table.

I gently touched her forehead and said, “May this New Year be above and beyond what you can think and dream of! In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!”

She raised her head and exclaimed, “I needed that!!” I said, “God is so good!”

Oh my, God is indeed good! Circumstances changed to make sure I was at her table to speak God’s blessing and love over her. I am completely overwhelmed by the goodness of God!!!

RELEASE YOUR PRAISE!

As I am alone in my house, praise music is blasting; my tambourine is ringing; my feet are dancing; my voice is lifted up unto the King of kings and Lord of lords!  And all of a sudden my Apple Watch vibrates. I look down and I see the words “Loud environment” with a warning.

LOL!!  I would say to you, Brothers & Sisters, that sometimes we need to fill our environment with LOUD praise, worship, declarations, and joy!!  Not only is God worthy of our praise, but our praise changes the atmosphere of where we are and it changes us!   It is the ultimate warfare against the enemy of our souls.  Isn’t it wonderful that as we lift up our love, adoration, and praise to God Almighty, the overflow of our praise floods our lives, circumstances, and surroundings with God’s presence, power, healing, and victory!!  HALLELUJAH!!

Brothers & Sisters!!  Don’t hold back your praise and worship!  If we do, the stones will have to do it for us!!

“When he [Jesus] came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19:37-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬. (Brackets and emphasis added by me)

RELEASE YOUR PRAISE, WORSHIP WARRIORS!

REJOICE!!

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬)

For many this Christmas will look differently than any Christmas in the past. Some will not be able to spend time with loved ones due to death, sickness, or quarantine. Some will be unable to afford gifts due to loss of income.

Yes, circumstances change. Everything around us can be shaken and uprooted. Nothing is guaranteed.  So where do we put our hope – in our government, in our jobs, in our doctors, in our church, in our family, in our friends, in our own ability and strength?

Dearest ones, if we choose to place our hope in anyone or anything other than Jesus Christ, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. Circumstances change and people change.  But Jesus doesn’t change. He is the same – yesterday, today, and forever!  Hallelujah!!

During this Christmas season, let us remember that we have been given the greatest gift of all – Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! He is our strong anchor. He is our strong foundation. He is our source of strength, healing, wisdom, love, joy, and peace.

Let us celebrate Jesus! Let us not only celebrate Him during this Christmas season, but let us celebrate Him every day of our lives. REJOICE!!
