STIR THE FIRE!

How is your heart? Does it need to be “stirred up?” Is the fire still burning brightly? Has your passion for the Lord become lukewarm or are you still fervently serving Him and His people?

What things need to be sacrificed on your heart altar? What things have taken God’s place in your life? Some of these things may even be “good things” but if all of your energy and time is focused on them…and not the Lord…it may be time to reevaluate.

Brothers & Sisters, let’s join together and STIR THE FIRE!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Holy Ground!

Sunday, as I joined my Brothers and Sisters in singing “We are standing on holy ground…” I felt the Lord reminding me that we have the opportunity to stand on holy ground no matter where we are. We don’t have to be in church!!

In Exodus 3:2-5, Moses saw a burning bush that did not burn up. As Moses stopped to see the strange sight  “God called to him from within the bush, Moses!  Moses!  ….Do not come any closer…take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

The ground where Moses was standing was not holy in and of itself – it was holy because God was present!  Wherever God is, His holiness is there!

Prayer:

LORD, may we be a BURNING BUSH that You use to speak to Your people!! May we be a holy people that bring Your holiness to the land! Set us ablaze for You, LORD!!

A Fire in my Bones!

Sometimes I will be talking to someone and the Lord will give me a Word for them. It will be a Word of encouragement…a Word of calling forth what He has purposed for them.

Sometimes it will be a Word directly from the Bible and sometimes it will be a Word from His heart to theirs.

This can happen one-on-one or it can happen in a group situation when I am teaching, preaching, or giving a message.

It can happen when I am walking into a store and the Lord will show me someone He wants me to go to and speak His love for them. I can choose to walk away and not be obedient to His call…but His Word stirring within me is indeed like a fire burning in my bones!

It also happens when I am on social media. I can be looking at a photo and the Lord will speak a Word to me as I’m looking at it. This happened recently with an “eagle photo” a friend of mine posted. I will be writing a post with this Word soon.

Also, many times as I’m writing a comment or a private message to someone…the Lord will begin to speak a specific Word to them that I find myself typing. It’s not planned…it just flows forth.

Ahhhhh Lord! Continue to speak Your Word through me!! Continue to breathe on the fire that is within me and make it burn brighter! I am forever Yours, Almighty God!!

Leave Lukewarmness Behind!

Lord, may we passionately pursue You and Your will in our lives! May we be ready and willing to do those things that we see as too big for us to do and not take the “safe” path because we have fear of failure. YOU are our success and our victory!!

Lord, help us to turn from lukewarmness in our lives and in the life of our Churches and kindle a Fire within us that cannot be put out by those things going on around us!

Lord, help us to join together as Your glorious and mighty Church and may we achieve great things in Your Kingdom for Your glory!! In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.” (Theodore Roosevelt)

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:15,16, 22 NIV)
