I went to our garage to get in my car to go to church this morning. Before I opened the car door, my eyes were drawn to the beautiful colors on the garage wall beside my car.
I looked around to see where the “reflection” was coming from. I looked but couldn’t spot where it came from.
I then heard in my spirit – “the glory of the Lord…”. Now, I know that this was probably a reflection of something… but, I also know that the Lord has spoken to me many times through physical things I have seen.
As I meditated on God’s Glory on the way to church, my thoughts went to several Scriptures:
“…all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord.” Numbers‬ â€14:21‬ â€
“A voice is calling, “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley; Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, And all flesh will see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.””
â€â€Isaiah‬ â€40:3-5‬ â€
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians‬ â€3:18‬
“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.”
â€â€Habakkuk‬ â€2:14‬ â€
I choose to use what I saw this morning as a reminder of the glory of the Lord that is real and true!
May the glory of the Lord be revealed and may all flesh see it together!!
AMEN!
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans‬ â€8:28‬ â€NASB‬‬
God loves us so much! We have all had to journey through some very challenging times during this COVID-19 pandemic.
It is such a blessing to know that not only has God been with us 24/7 during it all, but He actually is using it to transform and mold us into a stronger and more effective vessel for His presence in the world. I do not believe God caused this pandemic, but He is using it for our spiritual growth.
I believe that as we transition back into our communities, we will definitely not be the same!
What is a POSITIVE change that has happened in your life, family, job, community, church, etc. because of this pandemic season of time?

People notice if what we SAY lines up with what we DO!! May our actions and words be in alignment with each other and with the LORD!!!!!
Beloved of God! What is your Testimony? Do you testify of the power of the enemy…or do you testify of the POWER OF GOD?
Where is your focus? THAT WHICH WE FOCUS ON…WE GIVE POWER TO!
May we be living, walking testimonies of God’s Love and Power! HALLELUJAH!!
[2015 repost]
Yesterday morning I was getting dressed for us to go to breakfast with my friend Carol’s mother, Sylvia. I was talking with God and worshipping with my praise music as I usually do every morning.
I began to feel that God was telling me that I was to pray for our waitress at breakfast (I have done this before). And, of course, I told Him yes!
We drove to The Waffle House…but when we entered into the restaurant, we discovered there were no seats available and we were going to have to wait.
Carol and Sylvia decided that we would go to Denny’s which was pretty close. This was not a restaurant that they usually went to…but, this day, we were going!
At Denny’s, we were seated and quickly waited upon by a smiling, happy waitress. This was her! I knew that I would be praying for this joyful woman! I also knew that it would be when she brought our breakfast.
As we were waiting for our order and enjoying our time together, we noticed the two women in the booth behind us were asking for the manager. They were sitting close enough that we couldn’t help but hear of their dissatisfaction with their service. And their waitress was our waitress!
When our waitress, Tanya, came back to bring coffee and fill our water glasses – it was like a different woman had taken over! The smile was gone, a deep sadness rested upon her, and her body even seemed to be slumped over as if carrying a heavy burden.
As she left, we joined in prayer for her…but I knew that my assignment from the Lord was not complete. I still would connect with her when our order was brought to the table.
The two women finished up…got their take home boxes…but didn’t leave. I found myself praying, “Lord, if she brings our order while they are still here, do I still go ahead and speak with her?”
I knew immediately as an answer that we would not get our order until they were gone.
A few minutes later, the women got up and left. Within 2 minutes, our waitress began slowly walking to our table with the big platter of food. She sadly and slowly began placing everything before us and then picked up the platter to leave.
“Tanya, put down the platter…I would like to talk to you.” She put it down and slowly came closer to me.
“I would like to tell you a story” and I began sharing with her of how God told me I was to pray for her that morning.
“Tanya, I know what has happened this morning. Your worth is not dependent on what your job is. Your worth is because of who you are! You are a precious, beloved, daughter of the Most High King! You are beautiful and treasured! He hears you and He sees you. The Lord loves you so much, He made sure I was here in this place, at this time, so I could tell you how important you are to Him!”
With tears streaming down her face, she hugged me and told me thank you! We once again had our smiling, joyful waitress back! And she knew in a very tangible way at that moment how much God loved her!!
Oh, my friends! May we be intentional about taking the time to not only speak TO God in our prayers…but take the time to LISTEN to Him speaking to us!
Prayer is a conversation…and God desires for us to join Him in reaching out to others in love. Who would He like for you to show His love to today? Ask Him…

I love when God speaks to me through “signs!” He has gotten my attention through signs on trucks; road signs; signs on buildings; and now a sign in a bookstore.
Yesterday, I felt God’s love and attention while sitting with friends drinking tea in a bookstore coffee shop. I was enjoying this precious time of friendship when I glanced past them into the bookstore itself.
There, right in my line of vision, were the words RELAX and RENEW on a book table sign. Yes, Lord!! I hear You!!
I am reminded that in the midst of pouring out in ministry to others, we need to take time for ourselves. We need to relax and be renewed in God’s presence!
There must be balance! There is a time of pouring out and there is a time of being filled. I am so blessed that I am entering a season of God using me in many ministry settings! And I am so blessed that I have this time of entering into rest, relaxation, and being renewed as I go forward in focus and preparation.
God knows what we need and when we need it! He is so faithful and loves us so much. May we take the time to listen to Him however He chooses to speak: through His Word; through music; through prayer; and yes, even through signs! Hallelujah!!
I love how the Lord uses us wherever we may be for His glory! Â I was in the nail salon getting my nails done when I saw a woman I thought I recognized. Â She walked over and introduced herself. Â Come to find out, I taught her son in First Grade (many years ago). She began sharing the awesome testimony that her son had as a result of a car crash he had in January. Â God’s miraculous power and intervention was evident throughout this devastating crash!
It was such a blessing to me to hear how God has been using his testimony all over the world! Â Thousands upon thousands of people have been impacted by his story through social media. Â We serve a miracle-working God!!
Also, while I was there, another woman walked over to me.  Our daughters had graduated together and she had recognized my name.  On her way out of the salon, she asked me to pray for her and the team she was on.  They were preparing to go on a mission trip to Nicaragua to minister to women there.
I was able to stand with her and pray for her and the team. Â I was able to pray for the women they would be impacting with God’s Love. Â After the prayer, she said that it was God’s plan for me to be there! Â And I agree! Â In the kingdom of God there are no coincidences. Â There are divine appointments and encounters!
I just love to go to get my nails done…and end up having “church” in the salon! Â God is everywhere…and He can use us everywhere in ministry! Â Where will He use you today?
