“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV
When we are going through challenging circumstances, it is hard to think that God can use those circumstances to strengthen us.
It is hard to realize that God can use the very circumstances we are struggling in as an equipping for us to minister to others that are walking through the same circumstances.
Beloved, trust in the Lord in ALL circumstances!! He knows what He is doing…even when we don’t. ❤️
If we continue to read the verses following the one below, we see in the CEB version that we are to put aside all bitterness, losing our temper, anger, shouting, and slander.
We are to be KIND, COMPASSIONATE, AND FORGIVING to each other, IN THE SAME WAY GOD FORGAVE US IN CHRIST. [capitals given for emphasis]
There is a lot going on in our lives right now. We need to be aware of our words! What are we speaking to others? Are our words uplifting and full of love and grace?
Have you put off praying because you think it’s something you can take care of on your own? Or you think it’s too little for our great, big God to have to deal with? Dear ones, God is waiting to help you, if you will just ask. Are you ready? He is!
Good morning! Let your “light” shine today (and everyday)!
But, notice that we don’t let ourselves do good works so that we can be noticed and acclaimed…but we do good works so that our Father in heaven will get the glory. It is in and through Him that we are able to do exceedingly well all of the good works that He desires for us to do.
AND He prepared the good works that we are to do before we even do them! So, naturally He should get the glory and recognition.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Shine on, Brothers & Sisters…for the glory of God!! 💥
Dearest ones, have you been rescued by Father God? Have you received redemption in and through Jesus Christ, His Son? Are you living confidently in the kingdom of God knowing the truth of your identity in Christ? If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, are you ready to?
“…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.“ Romans 10:9-10
What is the Lord calling you to do next? Put away all fear, anxiety, doubt…you aren’t in this alone. The Lord is with you and will equip you to fulfill His purpose. He will strengthen you…He will guide you…He will protect you. Be strong and courageous!!
”Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.“ John 14:27 NASB1995
It is so tempting to search for our peace by looking at what is going on in our lives. If things are going the way we desire, we feel good and are at peace. BUT, if things are chaotic and we don’t understand why things are happening the way they are happening, it is very easy to let our peace disappear…we are fearful, angry, frustrated, depressed, etc.
This scripture reminds us that the peace that the world gives is not reliable. That peace is based on what is happening in the world. But, the peace that the Lord gives us transcends all that is happening around us!! We can have His peace as we are in the middle of the storms of life. It is that peace that is based on WHO GOD IS and not based on circumstances.
Brothers and Sisters, may we look for our peace in the right place. May we stop looking around us and may we focus on the LORD. HE IS OUR PEACE!!
I pray that “…the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
