Be careful with your words! Every thought doesn’t have to be spoken…
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Be careful with your words! Every thought doesn’t have to be spoken…
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21
Are we talking too much about all the wrong things going on in our lives or in the lives of others? There comes a time when just talking about and lamenting our current circumstances needs to end.
It’s time to start DECLARING and DECREEING God’s will in our circumstances and in the circumstances that others are facing and in our world!!
“The tongue has the power of life and death…”. Proverbs 18:21 NIV
The Lord is calling us to SPEAK LIFE! SPEAK LIFE! SPEAK LIFE!
“for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Matthew 10:20 NIV
“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life…”. Proverbs 10:11 NIV
Help us, Lord, to speak forth Your heart, Your love, Your will!! May Your life-giving words flow forth in power and accomplish what You desire!! In Jesus’ Name! AMEN!
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.” Psalms 19:14 NASB
I have been thinking alot about my words lately. I have to admit that with everything that has been going on during the last 3 ½ months, sometimes my words may not be acceptable to the LORD. I have allowed words of negativity and complaining to flow from my mouth. Forgive me, LORD!
As I look at the meditation of my heart, I see the same problem. My words are connected to what I am thinking – to what is in my heart. God’s Word tells us that out of the heart the mouth speaks.
What words do we find ourselves speaking to others and even to ourselves? Are they words of life…words of encouragement? Or are they words of discouragement and discontent? What do we meditate on during the day? What do we allow our thoughts to dwell on?
LORD, may Your Holy Spirit help us to filter our words and our thoughts. May we lift up and encourage all who we come into contact with. May we take every thought captive and bring our thoughts into alignment with You and Your life-giving truth. May we be vessels of reconciliation and peace. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. AMEN!

We need to watch our words! We need to pay attention to what words flow from our mouths. Do we find ourselves criticizing our pastors; our Brothers & Sisters; our families? Do we complain about what is going on around us – but do nothing?
Oh Beloved of God! You have the power of God within you!! What words of power are you speaking? Are you speaking Death or are you speaking Life?
Others will know what is in our heart by what words we speak! May we let the Holy Spirit be our “Heart Monitor.” May He show us what words need to be removed and what words need to be spoken!
May our hearts and words be in alignment with the Spirit of Almighty God!
“…the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.” Matthew 12:34
…the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart…(Matthew 15:18)
I think it is time for me to do a “heart check!” I believe it is important for us to pay attention to what comes out of our mouths. Our words have power! There is life and death in the tongue! (Proverbs 18:21) It is so easy to just let complaints and words of doubt and criticism flow all during our day. Forgive me, Lord!
The Lord pays attention to what we say (and the enemy does, too)…and we need to pay attention to the words that we allow ourselves to speak!
Dearest Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will be a filter over my mouth. May I say only those things that speak LIFE and FAITH and TRUTH! Help me, Lord, to think before I speak. May I let “no unwholesome word proceed from [my] mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”(Ephesians 4:29)
May Your words flow through me, Jesus! May I speak from a transformed heart…a heart that beats in time with Yours. Speak through me this day…and all the days that follow. Sanctify and anoint this mouth to speak forth Your Word!!
Thank You, Lord!!
