It’s All About You, Oh God!

Be careful with your words! Every thought doesn’t have to be spoken…
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Lord, I thank You for this day! I ask that You would take everything in it and use it to mold and shape me into the person you would have me to be. Forgive me, Lord, when I have fallen short of walking in Your plan. Help me to reach higher – to reach for Your plan for me – and
not settle for mine.
Open my eyes, Lord, that I may see!
Open my ears, Lord, that I may hear! Open my heart, Lord, that I may love!! May it be so, Lord, in Jesus’ name!!
Amen!
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Do you have a favorite Book of the Bible? Or do you have a favorite Scripture? This past Sunday we studied Job 1-2 in my Women’s Sunday School Class. I have to admit that Job is not my ”go to” book of the Bible when I am reading God’s Word.
Reading about suffering is uncomfortable and Job can be a challenging study. But, even though there are things in the Bible that make us uncomfortable or that we have a hard time understanding totally – we must be careful not to just skip them.
ALL Scripture is inspired by God and helps us to grow in our Christian life. May we embrace our journey with the Lord through the good times and through our times of suffering. May our response to life’s challenges and suffering be like Job’s:
“…he fell to the ground and worshiped.”
Job 1:20
“Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.” Job 1:22
Prayer:
Lord, I know that I have not had to experience the level of loss that Job did. But, I have had challenging times in my life. Forgive me when I have not responded in a God-honoring way. Forgive me when I have let my eyes focus on my circumstances instead of You! Thank You for walking with me through my times of adversity/suffering and my times of joy!
Blessed be Your name, O LORD!!
Are you waiting on God? Maybe He’s waiting on you… something to think and pray about…

Read the Word; Speak the Word; Pray the Word; Live the Word!!

Lord, May Your peace that surpasses any storm or circumstance reign in our lives!
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27

…for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)
We must be careful to not take people at “face value.” What we see with our fleshly eyes is not necessarily what the LORD sees!
LORD, may we see past the outward appearance and with Your help, discern the inward heart and spirit of a person.
May we be clothed in Your Love in all of our encounters. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
While on vacation, I took two of my granddaughters to a ceramics studio. I have not been to one in over 30 years! I had a very hard time picking out the one I wanted to paint. There was a very large selection of ceramic pieces to choose from.
Finally, I saw the one I wanted! After painting it two different colors/ways…and not being satisfied…I finally chose one all over color and then different colored “spots.”
I am a very visual person. One of the dot colors I chose was black. It immediately didn’t feel right and I stopped and waited for inspiration. I immediately thought – black symbolizes our sin. I then found myself reaching for the red paint and painting over the black with red. The blood of Christ shed on the cross for us cleanses us from our sin! His blood redeems us/frees us from the power of sin and restores us into right relationship to Father God! Hallelujah!!
“…you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.”
1 Peter 1:18-19
BELIEVE!
“…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;”. Romans 10:9
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”” John 6:40
I bless you, my friends, and speak this blessing over you:
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
AMEN & AMEN!
Your Sister in Christ, Tina
