SPIRITUAL WARDROBE

Yesterday, I forgot to put on one of my earrings after my hair appointment. I did a few errands and later when I realized what I had done was curious what people thought as they looked at me. I did a facebook post that spoke to what had happened and what I had learned from it. It follows:

“The Lord reminds me not to take things that don’t matter too seriously! LOL! One earring…mismatched shoes…clothes inside out…. not that important in the grand scheme of things!😃”

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I let my attention and time be focused on those things that are so unimportant. I am reminded on what “clothing” I should focus on “wearing.”

What is in our “closet?” Are we forgetting to “put on” essential clothing? I know I have been trying to prune and simplify my closet(s) at home. I think I need to do a spiritual pruning!! I need to update and strengthen my spiritual wardrobe. Would you like to join me? The Scriptures below will give us a checklist on what we should focus on “wearing” each day. May we not leave the house without doing the “clothing check” below!!!

“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

FOOTPRINTS…

for we walk by faith, not by sight.    2 Corinthians 5:7

Like a child, I picture us walking in the footprints of our Daddy/Abba.

The footprints are bigger than ours, but we walk in them because we know that we want to be like Him and go where He is going!!

We may not see Him, but we know that His footprints will lead us to our perfect destination.

We know that His footprints will lead us to HIM!!

As we step where He stepped, we are empowered with His very Spirit to walk His Walk!

ABBA!  We want to walk in Your footprints!!

You have already prepared the path that we are to take…all we have to do is walk in it!

Thank You for going before us and preparing the way!!

Thank You, Father, that when Your footprints go in terrain that is too difficult…I see You reach down and carry us until we reach safer ground.

May we see the next step we are to take.  Give us eyes to see, LORD!

May we follow where You lead us — without fear, because we KNOW that You know exactly where we need to be.

We love You, ABBA!!  We trust You, ABBA!  We will follow where You lead!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your loving daughter, Tina

SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

“…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I had a vision on June 8 as I attended a day with Daughters on the Frontline. In the vision I saw a woman clothed in the armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18). But, I saw the sword of the Spirit laying at her feet.  I received understanding that the sword was not being held because it was thought, “I will pick it up when I need it.”

I heard the Lord say in my spirit, “IT’S TIME TO PICK UP THE SWORD!!  MY WORD TRUMPS THE WORD OF THE WORLD!”

Even though I saw a woman in my vision, I believe that the woman represents the “bride of Christ.”  This vision and word is for all – men and women alike.

Brothers & Sisters, the main weapon of our warfare is in our mouths!  God’s Word spoken, declared, and decreed in and over our circumstances and in and over world circumstances is one of the most powerful weapons we have.  We need to realize the importance and necessity of having our “sword” constantly ready.

Read God’s Word…Pray God’s Word…Speak God’s Word

May God’s Word continually be in our hearts and in our mouths!  RISE UP BROTHERS & SISTERS!  PICK UP THE SWORD AND BE READY TO DO BATTLE!

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Don’t let what is happening in your life put you in a position of defeat. Rise up from that position and remember you are “seated with Christ in heavenly places.”  (Ephesians 2:6).  That is your position!

RISE UP!       ARMOR UP!       SPEAK UP!

You are not defeated!  You are not a failure!  You are not powerless!  SPEAK God’s truth over yourself and over your circumstances and keep speaking it until you see the victory!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”   (1 John 5:4)

Praying for you, mighty, victorious men and women of God!!

GRADUATION!

As I was standing in the choir on Sunday worshipping with my Brothers & Sisters in Christ, I noticed something round and red lying on the floor right in front of me. At the end of the church service, I bent down to pick it up and saw that it was a “Graduation” token that had been dropped during the Graduation ceremony that had been held for our preschool students.

I immediately felt the Lord place a spiritual meaning upon the word “Graduation!” I hear the Lord saying that many are going through a time of graduation to the deeper things of God. Many have walked the path of learning and training in the ways of God and are ready to “level up.” Beloved of God, some of the training and molding and shaping has been difficult…but God has used it all for our good…to bring us to a place of being more like Him.

It’s time to lay aside all those things that are holding you back from being all that God has called you to be. And yes…some of those things are good…but God wants you to make room for His best. Don’t settle for less!!

Are you ready to don the robe/mantle that the Lord has been holding for you for such a time as this? Are you ready to take that walk across the stage of life and accept the call of God upon you?

A Call To Humility

Jesus reminds us that we are to humbly serve and minister to His people. It’s not always possible to physically wash someone else’s feet. I believe Jesus did this not only as a physical example of how to humbly serve others…but I believe He did it as a spiritual example of how we are to humbly position ourselves to serve others. It is a reminder that sometimes in the serving, we have to be willing to do the job that we may feel is “beneath us.” Brothers & Sisters, may we truly have a “servant heart” and serve our Lord Jesus by serving His people. ❤️

“Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 10:40 NASB1995)

Are You Saturated?

Are you saturated?

When I think of the word “saturated” I think of a sponge. When a sponge is saturated with water, it is full to overflowing…it is dripping…it will overflow with whatever it has soaked up when it is squeezed.

Which leads to the question, “What have we soaked up? What comes out when we are squeezed by life’s circumstances?”

What are we saturated with? God…or something else?
