STEP OVER!

[vision]    I saw many approaching a door that the Lord had placed in front of them…doors of opportunity; doors of increase; doors of advancement; doors of leadership…

In the vision as they approached the door, the threshold was so big it was as a wall within the door.

As I looked, I saw the threshold begin to decrease in size quickly…to the point that it was easy to step over and go through the door!

Threshold= a strip of wood, metal, or stone forming the bottom of a doorway and crossed in entering a house or room.

A threshold is what you step across when you enter a room. A threshold takes you from one place into another, and when you’re about to start something new, you’re also on a threshold.

synonyms:  doorway, entrance, entry, door, gate, gateway, portal…

[interpretation]     As our faith rises to the point of taking that step forward and leaving behind those things that are holding us back – we will see that wall that is obstructing our ability to cross the threshold into our New Season begin to decrease.

As we draw closer and closer to the Lord and closer and closer to our destiny in the Kingdom – we will come to the place of being able to step over the threshold and crossover into a place of New Beginning.  I see the threshold becoming smaller as we continue forward and not look back.  Our commitment to KEEP GOING in spite of opposition is what will bring us to the door.  The armor of God in place and His praise upon our lips is the key to entering in.

Beloved of God – put on the HELMET OF SALVATION, the BELT OF TRUTH, the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and SHOES READY WITH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE!

Take up the SHIELD OF FAITH, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT!

PRAY AT ALL TIMES IN THE SPIRIT!

KEEP ALERT and GET READY to STEP OVER THE THRESHOLD!!

It’s Time To Move FORWARD!!

I am sitting here this morning listening to the thunder and rain and drinking my coffee. As I was looking at my photos, I came across this one and immediately felt the heart of God for those that are getting over a painful experience (or trying to).

Ahhhhh Beloved, the Lord hears your cries! He feels your pain! But, He is ready to walk with you out of this place of suffering. It is indeed time for you to “let go.” He will use this time to help you grow.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

He doesn’t want you to stay in that place of suffering. He has so much awaiting you! It’s time to take that step forward!

Vessel of Change!

There are things you are praying about that you would like to see happening in your church, in your family, in your job, or in your community. I would like to challenge you this morning! Maybe the Lord wants to use YOU as the vessel of this change!

Are you waiting for the Lord to bring His Change through someone else??

Maybe the Lord is waiting on YOU!!

Are you willing to be the VESSEL OF CHANGE that He can use for such a time as this?

Are you ready to say YES?

He’s ready!

GOD LOVES!!

[2015 repost]

Yesterday morning I was getting dressed for us to go to breakfast with my friend Carol’s mother, Sylvia. I was talking with God and worshipping with my praise music as I usually do every morning.

I began to feel that God was telling me that I was to pray for our waitress at breakfast (I have done this before). And, of course, I told Him yes!

We drove to The Waffle House…but when we entered into the restaurant, we discovered there were no seats available and we were going to have to wait.

Carol and Sylvia decided that we would go to Denny’s which was pretty close. This was not a restaurant that they usually went to…but, this day, we were going!

At Denny’s, we were seated and quickly waited upon by a smiling, happy waitress. This was her! I knew that I would be praying for this joyful woman! I also knew that it would be when she brought our breakfast.

As we were waiting for our order and enjoying our time together, we noticed the two women in the booth behind us were asking for the manager. They were sitting close enough that we couldn’t help but hear of their dissatisfaction with their service. And their waitress was our waitress!

When our waitress, Tanya, came back to bring coffee and fill our water glasses – it was like a different woman had taken over! The smile was gone, a deep sadness rested upon her, and her body even seemed to be slumped over as if carrying a heavy burden.

As she left, we joined in prayer for her…but I knew that my assignment from the Lord was not complete. I still would connect with her when our order was brought to the table.

The two women finished up…got their take home boxes…but didn’t leave. I found myself praying, “Lord, if she brings our order while they are still here, do I still go ahead and speak with her?”

I knew immediately as an answer that we would not get our order until they were gone.

A few minutes later, the women got up and left. Within 2 minutes, our waitress began slowly walking to our table with the big platter of food. She sadly and slowly began placing everything before us and then picked up the platter to leave.

“Tanya, put down the platter…I would like to talk to you.” She put it down and slowly came closer to me.

“I would like to tell you a story” and I began sharing with her of how God told me I was to pray for her that morning.

“Tanya, I know what has happened this morning. Your worth is not dependent on what your job is. Your worth is because of who you are! You are a precious, beloved, daughter of the Most High King! You are beautiful and treasured! He hears you and He sees you. The Lord loves you so much, He made sure I was here in this place, at this time, so I could tell you how important you are to Him!”

With tears streaming down her face, she hugged me and told me thank you! We once again had our smiling, joyful waitress back! And she knew in a very tangible way at that moment how much God loved her!!

Oh, my friends! May we be intentional about taking the time to not only speak TO God in our prayers…but take the time to LISTEN to Him speaking to us!

Prayer is a conversation…and God desires for us to join Him in reaching out to others in love. Who would He like for you to show His love to today? Ask Him…

Relax and Renew

I love when God speaks to me through “signs!” He has gotten my attention through signs on trucks; road signs; signs on buildings; and now a sign in a bookstore.

Yesterday, I felt God’s love and attention while sitting with friends drinking tea in a bookstore coffee shop. I was enjoying this precious time of friendship when I glanced past them into the bookstore itself.

There, right in my line of vision, were the words RELAX and RENEW on a book table sign. Yes, Lord!! I hear You!!

I am reminded that in the midst of pouring out in ministry to others, we need to take time for ourselves. We need to relax and be renewed in God’s presence!

There must be balance! There is a time of pouring out and there is a time of being filled. I am so blessed that I am entering a season of God using me in many ministry settings! And I am so blessed that I have this time of entering into rest, relaxation, and being renewed as I go forward in focus and preparation.

God knows what we need and when we need it! He is so faithful and loves us so much. May we take the time to listen to Him however He chooses to speak: through His Word; through music; through prayer; and yes, even through signs! Hallelujah!!

Even Though…

We may not have fig trees, grapevines, olive crops, flocks, and cattle … but we all have those physical things that sustain us in life.

There are times when things seem to be falling apart around us! And it is during those times that we have to dig deep inside of ourselves and realize that even though our circumstances may look bleak – our God is still shining brightly!

The God of our salvation is still with us; He is still moving on our behalf; He is indeed our strength when all we feel is weak.

What are you going through, beloved of God? You may not be able to rejoice in the circumstances…but rejoice in the Lord who is with you in them! Rejoice in the Lord who can use those circumstances to bring good into your life!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You are loved!!
