May Our Walk be Worthy!

May you “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints of Light.”

Colossians 1:10-12

CHANGE AHEAD

As I sit here tonight thinking about the New Year that is approaching, I feel deeply the words “change ahead.”

There will be change in our world; change in our government; change in our cities; change in our communities; change in our churches; change in our families; and change in our lives.

Change can be scary; it can be challenging; but it is inevitable. To grow physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually means there will be change in our lives.

Change shouldn’t take place just for the sake of change. But, it does need to take place. It also needs to be God directed! What we think needs to change may not align with what God thinks.

We also need to be careful about telling others THEY need to change before we seek God on how WE need to change. Help us, Lord!

My prayer for this New Year is that we will allow God to move mightily in our lives and change our fear into faith; our doubt into trust; our pride into humility; our weakness into strength; and our self centered thinking into God centered thinking.

I pray that we will think before we speak; listen before we speak; and always speak in love.

I pray that those plans and ideas and ministries that have been put on the “back burner” will be moved forward! It’s time! Seek the Lord for He is waiting!

There is change ahead! And if we let God lead the change – all will be well!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving…Col. 4:2

Thanksgiving is not only a day that we set aside to remember what we are thankful for…but thanksgiving is a way of living…an attitude of our heart that everything we say and everything we do flows from.

May we all have a thankful attitude and be “happy” in thanksgiving each and every day!! Happy Thanksgiving, my precious Brothers and Sisters!!

ARE YOU WILLING?

Yesterday as I was driving to my hair appointment, I found myself tearfully praying, “Lord, can you really use me in all my weakness…in all my failures…in all my mistakes?”

As soon as the words left my mouth (I pray out loud most of the time), I heard the Lord’s loving, gentle voice in my spirit say, “I am bigger than your weakness, failures or mistakes!  Yes!  I can use you!”

I am sharing this to encourage anyone who thinks that God couldn’t possibly use them!  It doesn’t matter where you are in your life or what you are experiencing – God can use you for His Glory!!  If you are willing…He is willing!!

Are you willing?

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:9  ESV

Walking With Jesus

PRAYER WALK
We had a powerful prayer time this morning! At one point I was in front of the group lifting up the churches in our area and I found myself praying for unity.  I found out that another walker, who was bringing up the rear of the group, was praying the same thing – unity! We were far enough away from each other that we didn’t hear each other. Praying God’s heart- UNITY -for His people!!

I prayed this morning for God to give us another “divine appointment” and He did! As we were walking across from the hospital, I felt the nudge from the Lord to walk in the drop off area of the Emergency Room/ Hospital.

As we began to walk in that area, we saw a woman walking from the parking lot to the hospital. She had just dropped off her daughter at the Emergency Room. I was able to pray with her for her daughter’s healing. We serve a God of Opportunity! And He sets up the opportunities!! Hallelujah!!

Thank You, Jesus, for walking with us during this focused set-aside time!!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!!

Prayer…

Asleep at 12:00 and awake by 4:00am. I guess there is just too much going on…

Lord, may Your peace settle upon me and all who are reading this. May Your Presence gently touch all who are hurting…all who are depressed…all who are crying out for You!

Father, I intercede for all those who just have no words to pray. Hear their hearts, Lord, and may they feel Your Love!

Flow, River, Flow into the deep valleys and into the dry places of their lives! May their spirits, souls, and bodies soak in Your precious life-giving Water!

Thank You, LORD, and Amen!

JESUS IS OUR PATTERN!

As I sit quietly sipping my coffee this morning, I hear the Lord saying:

“I have not called you to be like everyone else.”

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have a problem with comparing myself to others.  Especially those that I believe are further along God’s path than I am.

As I was hearing God’s Word to me this morning, I knew it was not just for me…but for all of us!

Brothers & Sisters, we are each uniquely and beautifully created!  God delights in our uniqueness. He takes delight in seeing us moving and ministering in the Gifts He has placed within us through the Holy Spirit.

Don’t ever feel that you are lacking or not good enough!  Don’t ever feel that God could not possibly use you!  He is abundantly able to do wonderful and powerful things through YOU!!

We may not be doing things exactly how we see someone else doing them – but God has called us to do things as we see HIM doing them!!

May we seek the Lord in the coming days and pattern ourselves after His guidance and direction and not rely on patterning ourselves after other people.

JESUS is our pattern!
