Vessel of Change!

There are things you are praying about that you would like to see happening in your church, in your family, in your job, or in your community. I would like to challenge you this morning! Maybe the Lord wants to use YOU as the vessel of this change!

Are you waiting for the Lord to bring His Change through someone else??

Maybe the Lord is waiting on YOU!!

Are you willing to be the VESSEL OF CHANGE that He can use for such a time as this?

Are you ready to say YES?

He’s ready!

GOD LOVES!!

[2015 repost]

Yesterday morning I was getting dressed for us to go to breakfast with my friend Carol’s mother, Sylvia. I was talking with God and worshipping with my praise music as I usually do every morning.

I began to feel that God was telling me that I was to pray for our waitress at breakfast (I have done this before). And, of course, I told Him yes!

We drove to The Waffle House…but when we entered into the restaurant, we discovered there were no seats available and we were going to have to wait.

Carol and Sylvia decided that we would go to Denny’s which was pretty close. This was not a restaurant that they usually went to…but, this day, we were going!

At Denny’s, we were seated and quickly waited upon by a smiling, happy waitress. This was her! I knew that I would be praying for this joyful woman! I also knew that it would be when she brought our breakfast.

As we were waiting for our order and enjoying our time together, we noticed the two women in the booth behind us were asking for the manager. They were sitting close enough that we couldn’t help but hear of their dissatisfaction with their service. And their waitress was our waitress!

When our waitress, Tanya, came back to bring coffee and fill our water glasses – it was like a different woman had taken over! The smile was gone, a deep sadness rested upon her, and her body even seemed to be slumped over as if carrying a heavy burden.

As she left, we joined in prayer for her…but I knew that my assignment from the Lord was not complete. I still would connect with her when our order was brought to the table.

The two women finished up…got their take home boxes…but didn’t leave. I found myself praying, “Lord, if she brings our order while they are still here, do I still go ahead and speak with her?”

I knew immediately as an answer that we would not get our order until they were gone.

A few minutes later, the women got up and left. Within 2 minutes, our waitress began slowly walking to our table with the big platter of food. She sadly and slowly began placing everything before us and then picked up the platter to leave.

“Tanya, put down the platter…I would like to talk to you.” She put it down and slowly came closer to me.

“I would like to tell you a story” and I began sharing with her of how God told me I was to pray for her that morning.

“Tanya, I know what has happened this morning. Your worth is not dependent on what your job is. Your worth is because of who you are! You are a precious, beloved, daughter of the Most High King! You are beautiful and treasured! He hears you and He sees you. The Lord loves you so much, He made sure I was here in this place, at this time, so I could tell you how important you are to Him!”

With tears streaming down her face, she hugged me and told me thank you! We once again had our smiling, joyful waitress back! And she knew in a very tangible way at that moment how much God loved her!!

Oh, my friends! May we be intentional about taking the time to not only speak TO God in our prayers…but take the time to LISTEN to Him speaking to us!

Prayer is a conversation…and God desires for us to join Him in reaching out to others in love. Who would He like for you to show His love to today? Ask Him…

Never Alone!

So…I’m sitting in the airport in Atlanta all alone. Alone except for the droves of people going here and there to eat or catch a flight. But, everyone has their attention on their destination and not really on what is happening around them.

I feel like I’m on an island in the heaving waters of the ocean. So much activity around me…but I am on an island of calm.

I feel the sweet, calm presence of the Lord as my companion. I talk to Him silently as I watch the people pass by; I talk to him as thoughts drift across my consciousness; I share with Him my joys and my concerns.

And best of all – He shares His thoughts with me! He tells me of His joys and His concerns; He shares with me His plans for what is coming in my life and ministry.

I am so thankful and humbled that God actually wants to hang out at the airport with me! WOW!! What an awesome God we serve!

No, I’m not alone…I’m never alone! 💥❤️

I CELEBRATE!

Dearest Jesus,

I celebrate Your physical birth upon this earth so many years ago.

I celebrate Your life – showing us by example and teaching how to live.

I celebrate Your willingness to lay down Your life for us.

I celebrate Your resurrection and Your spiritual life being lived out in and through us.

I celebrate You in us – the hope of glory.

I celebrate!

Fast Food Prayer

I was in a fast food restaurant for lunch with my friends after Bible Study. As I walked in the door, I saw one of the staff standing by a supply closet. I said, “Hi, how are you doing?” Something I say to many people without really thinking about it.

My eyes were looking into his as I asked my question. I normally would have continued walking as I heard his response, “Fine.”

But, our eyes were locked…I couldn’t look away…and the Lord wasn’t allowing me to continue walking.

I found myself walking towards him and I saw the faint look of surprise as he saw me coming.

I found myself saying, “How are you really doing? Is there something I can pray with you about?”

“Yes,” he said, “You can pray for my eyes.”

So, without asking any details, I just let the Lord lead me in praying for his eyes to be healed.

I’m so thankful that the Lord made me stop and meet this man at his point of need!

Give me more opportunities, Lord, for Your glory!!

CHURCH!!

‪The last two Sundays I was out of town. I can’t believe how excited I am to be going to Church tomorrow! I love being in God’s House with God’s people! I love to worship the King of kings and Lord of lords with my Brothers & Sisters!

I am expectant and ready to hear God speak through His chosen vessel – my pastor.

On the way to Church I will be worshipping and praying in my prayer closet – my car – with eyes open and voice proclaiming!

I love You, Lord!!

YOUR VESSEL, LORD!

Lord, when I speak,
may I speak life and not death.

Lord, when I pray,
may my prayers be dripping with Your Love expressed.

Lord, may my walk be in Your authority –
claiming territory wherever my feet touch.

Lord, may my hands be an extension of Your hands –
healing, delivering, and blessing Your people.

Lord, may I truly be Your vessel!
Fill me up…and pour me out!

Lord, for Your glory and for Your kingdom!

Amen!

Divine Appointment

I had what I would call a “divine appointment” today!

I was shopping in a local clothes store and went to the counter to purchase my items.  As the young sales girl walks up to help me –she grabs her back and says,  “My back hurts so bad!  I’ve taken all kinds of medicine and nothing helps!”

(Well, the Lord opened the door-so I walked through.)  I asked if I could pray for her back and she enthusiastically said, “Yes!”

We held hands and I prayed for her right at the counter.  Need I say it was out loud. 😃.

When I was done, she was so thankful, and as I left I said, “I believe the Lord will continue to heal your back as you are working today!”

Ah Lord!  Thank you for this precious encounter!  May this young lady come face-to-face with Your healing Power and Love!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

PENTECOST SUNDAY

PENTECOST SUNDAY
Acts 2:1-21

Come Holy Wind…Come Holy Fire…may we declare the wonders of God in boldness and power! May our sons and daughters prophesy! May our young men see visions and our old men dream dreams! May ALL your people prophesy and may ALL who call on the name of the Lord be saved!

Pour out Your Spirit upon us, O God! May we radiate with the power of the Holy Spirit within us and around us! Set Your Church on fire, O God, so our hearts will burn with love for those that do not know you!

Blow on the smoldering embers of our hearts and bring us to a roaring blaze of Your power and love! We wait with open hearts, open spirits, and open arms!

Come Holy Spirit!!
