ONE STEP AT A TIME!!

As I am sitting here drinking my coffee, I find my thoughts going to those that are in a time of uncertainty in their life situation.

I feel your desperation for things to be different. I hear you crying out to the Lord to change your life.

Dearest, precious, beloved of God! As I am sitting here, I also feel the faithful, all-encompassing, powerful Love that God has for you! He has not forgotten you. He hears you…He sees you…He has such an amazing plan for your life!

Even though you may feel that what is happening in your life is holding you back…remember that God can cause ALL things to work together for your good.

Our lives are full of life experiences – good and bad. But, our powerful Lord uses all these experiences to mold and shape us into a vessel that will display His glory!

I hear Him saying, “One step at a time!”

What has He called you to do today? Don’t discount what He can do through that one obedient step! Don’t downplay the importance of what may seem to be a “little” act of obedience.

It’s okay to feel uncertainty…it’s okay to want to see things changed…BUT, walk forward – one step at a time – knowing that God is with you! And He is going before you preparing the way!

You will make it to your destiny, beloved! ONE STEP AT A TIME!!!

ARE YOU WILLING?

Yesterday as I was driving to my hair appointment, I found myself tearfully praying, “Lord, can you really use me in all my weakness…in all my failures…in all my mistakes?”

As soon as the words left my mouth (I pray out loud most of the time), I heard the Lord’s loving, gentle voice in my spirit say, “I am bigger than your weakness, failures or mistakes!  Yes!  I can use you!”

I am sharing this to encourage anyone who thinks that God couldn’t possibly use them!  It doesn’t matter where you are in your life or what you are experiencing – God can use you for His Glory!!  If you are willing…He is willing!!

Are you willing?

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:9  ESV

I EXALT YOU!

I choose to lay aside all of those things that are clamoring for my attention, Lord. I set aside this time to focus on You. I exalt You in my thoughts… I exalt You in my words… And I exalt You in my doing! There is none like You! Holy Spirit help me to worship my Lord as He deserves to be worshipped! May my worship be a sweet fragrance flowing up to Your throne, O GOD!! I love You…

LIVE UP TO GOD’S TRUTH!

“…we should live up to whatever truth we have attained.” Philippians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

As I read this today, I couldn’t help but ask myself, “Am I living up to…am I walking in the truth that I have received?”

I know that Jesus has redeemed me. I know that He says that I can do ALL things through Him. I know that He says I am MORE than a conqueror. I know He says I can do greater things than He did while He walked this earth in human form.
So! I have to look at my life and judge as to whether my life is an example of the truth I believe. When people see me, do they see what I believe displayed in my actions? Do they hear what I believe in my words? Am I truly living up to the truth I believe…or am I living below that truth?

Ahhh Lord! Help me to live up to Your truth! Faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:17). I desire to LIVE Your truth – not just speak it – not just believe it – but to ACT upon it!! May my life be raised up to meet Your truth! Amen!

HEART CHECK

…the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart…(Matthew 15:18)

I think it is time for me to do a “heart check!” I believe it is important for us to pay attention to what comes out of our mouths. Our words have power! There is life and death in the tongue! (Proverbs 18:21) It is so easy to just let complaints and words of doubt and criticism flow all during our day. Forgive me, Lord!

The Lord pays attention to what we say (and the enemy does, too)…and we need to pay attention to the words that we allow ourselves to speak!

Dearest Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will be a filter over my mouth. May I say only those things that speak LIFE and FAITH and TRUTH! Help me, Lord, to think before I speak. May I let no unwholesome word proceed from [my] mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”(Ephesians 4:29)

May Your words flow through me, Jesus! May I speak from a transformed heart…a heart that beats in time with Yours. Speak through me this day…and all the days that follow. Sanctify and anoint this mouth to speak forth Your Word!!

Thank You, Lord!!

One Faith Step at a Time

And the Lord said to me, “Get up and go on into Damascus, and there you will be told of all that has been appointed for you to do.” Acts 22:10

As I was reading this Scripture pertaining to Paul and His defense before the Jews, I was reminded of the importance of our being obedient unto the Lord. In reading this, I noticed that the Lord first told Paul to go into Damascus. THEN he would be told what he needed to do there.

Ahhhh, Brothers and Sisters! The Lord usually doesn’t give us the “whole picture.” Our path is made up of one faith step at a time. We are told to take one step … and as we are obedient in that … then we are given the next step. I don’t know about you, but this can be very difficult. Especially, if He is calling us to do something that is out of our “comfort zone.” I want to know when, why, how. I want to know the whole picture!

However, on looking back at those times in my life that He has called me step-by-step to trust Him in where He is leading me, I realize that it is for my good to not have the whole picture. There are times that I realize if I had known the whole picture—I might have run the other way!!

We, as humans, tend to focus on our own abilities and strengths. And God doesn’t focus on that…He focuses on what HE can do through us if we are willing. Our LORD is a BIG GOD and He calls us to do big things. If we knew ahead of time all that He plans for us to do in His kingdom, we might be overwhelmed! But, in His goodness, He only gives us what we can handle…a little at a time…until we are at the place He gently leads us to. What a loving, gentle, Father!!

Beloved, may we be obedient and take that next step in faith. May we know that God is right there, holding our hands, protecting us on all sides, ordering our steps, so that we can carry out the BIG PLANS that He has determined for us to do. We CAN do all things through Christ! And we CAN accomplish it through one faith step at a time…

I LOVE YOU!!

I hear the Lord saying:

Beloved, don’t doubt My love for you!

Do you judge My love by how I answer your prayers? For it is in my love for you that I answer your prayers in My way and not yours.

Do you judge My love by looking with Your eyes at things that are going on around you? For it is in My love for you that I am with you, causing all things to work together for your good.

Judge My love for you by what I did on the cross! You are my Beloved Bride and I will never leave Your side. Don’t ever doubt My love for you!

REVIVAL!

I believe that many times when we pray for revival, we have an expectation of what that revival will look like. We have our own ideas of what should happen.

But, are we willing to accept revival on God’s terms? What has happened in the past may not be what God has planned for us now. We must beware of putting revival in a box that we expect God Almighty to adhere to!

His ways and thoughts are far above ours! He is a God of creativity, passion, and power!! Have Your way, Oh God!!

Are We Willing?

Don’t think that the Lord can’t use you until you have it “all together!”

He knows every fault…He knows every weakness…and He still wants to use us!!

He doesn’t choose to use us for His Glory because of who WE are — but He chooses to use us because of who HE is!!

Christ in us, the Hope of glory, wants to flow through you this day.

All we have to be is WILLING!!
