Think About These Things

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”‭‭ Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬⁣

Well, the days of quarantine and staying at home continue. As we are separated from others physically and separated from participating in some things that give us pleasure, it is easy to dwell on those things that make us frustrated or angry or sad. ⁣

We are instructed in God’s Word to take control over our thoughts! We are not to let our thoughts control us – to control how we feel – but we are to control what thoughts we allow to “hang around.” [2 Corinthians 10:5]⁣

If we allow God to guide and direct our thoughts – we will discover that we can change our focus from thoughts of doubt, negativity, blame, frustration, and hopelessness to thoughts that focus on those things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and praiseworthy. ⁣

In other words, what are things that we are THANKFUL for? May we take each day and write down those things/people/circumstances that are commendable and deserve our praise. ⁣
Let’s not just write them down once a day, but let’s have a running list that continues throughout the day as we are proactive in bringing our thought life into alignment with God’s thoughts. ⁣

LORD! We are so thankful that You are with us 24/7 as we journey through this quarantine season. Help us, Lord, to take control of our thought life. May our thoughts and our words be full of life and love and praise. Help us to see others through Your eyes and may we be vessels of honor and truth and love. Oh LORD!! YOU are the One at the top of our list who is worthy of our praise!! And we praise You each and every day! HALLELUJAH!!⁣

DRAW NEAR!

“…let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NASB‬‬

I would say that we are definitely in a time of need!  God loves us so much. He doesn’t expect us to make this journey alone. He tells us exactly what we are to do during these challenging times.

We are to DRAW NEAR! As we faithfully follow the social-distancing guidelines, it is imperative that we remember that it is not a time to distance ourselves from the Lord. He invites us into His “personal space!” He won’t back off and say, “Whoa! Too close!” No, as we begin to step closer and closer – I see Him smile, and with a soft, loving look He whispers, “Closer…”

We are to draw near with CONFIDENCE! Some translations say with BOLDNESS. We are to come before the throne with the assurance of who we are in Christ Jesus and who God is. We are “dressed for the occasion!”

“I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah‬ ‭61:10‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Ahhh, Brothers & Sisters!  He is inviting us to His throne to receive mercy and grace during our time of need. Are you ready to join me there?

Dearest LORD, such love You have for us! Even as we struggle daily with new boundaries of quarantine and social-distancing…YOU are with us every moment of every day. May we take this time of forced separation and see the blessing in it – more time with You…more time with family…more time to evaluate our priorities. We aren’t happy in the circumstances that we face, LORD. But we do rejoice because YOU are with us!! We exalt and honor You each day – in quarantine or out. Blessed be Your most holy name!

JESUS Name Above All Names!

JESUS! What a powerful, precious name to be on our lips and in our hearts. There is something about just speaking that name in all of our circumstances and wherever we are. There is power in the name of Jesus!

God Himself gave Jesus His name. His name holds power, grace, love, redemption, healing, deliverance and much more.

“…God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

As we speak the name of Jesus, our thoughts and attention are drawn away from all the turmoil around us and we are able to focus on the One who can calm the storm…and has given us the authority and power to calm the storm in His name!

Oh my friends! Do you carry the name of Jesus? Do you carry His presence? Are you walking as an ambassador of Christ?

Vision: I see a huge rubber stamp like one that is used to stamp a signature onto a letter or official document. I see the name of JESUS being stamped upon me! And dear friends the name of Jesus is upon you if you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior.

Prayer: Dearest Jesus, thank You for calling me Your own! Thank You for placing Your name upon me and inviting me to walk this journey with You! Amen!

VISION

…for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.

(1 Samuel 16:7)

We must be careful to not take people and circumstances at “face value”. What we see with our fleshly eyes is not necessarily what the LORD sees!

LORD, may we have Your eyes and Your Vision that we may see things as they really are.

May You continue to improve my Vision, Lord!! May You align my vision to YOUR Vision. I not only want to HEAR You, but I want to SEE with Your eyes! I want to FEEL what You feel! I want to SPEAK Your Word! Mold and shape me, Lord, into a vessel that is filled to overflowing with Your LOVE!! In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!

Turn On The Light!

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

How bright is our path that we are walking in life? Are we allowing God’s Word to illuminate our thoughts and our vision and our speech?

We need to “turn on the light” by reading God’s Word every day and by inviting Him to walk our daily path with us.

God bless you in the journey!

Weightlifters of the Lord

This morning as I was writing another post on my Facebook page, I began to have such a sense of a “building up” in the atmosphere! Brothers & Sisters! God is moving…God is strengthening His people for what’s coming! We ARE the body of Christ!

[vision]. I see a weightlifter 🏋️. The Lord is strengthening us to lift and carry the “weight” of His glory and presence into all the world! We are in “training!” We have our own “personal Trainer!” Lean in and listen and obey the voice of the Lord!!

IT’S TIME!!

God’s Eyes

“The problem is, many of the people in need of saving are in churches, and at least part of what they need saving from is the idea that God sees the world the same way they do.” – Barbara Brown Taylor

As I read this a few days ago, I knew that it was true. We often forget that our human perspective is different from God’s. It is difficult for us to look beyond the surface.

What we see physically is not all there is! What lies below the surface is equally important (and may be more important).

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord, may we see with Your eyes! Peel back our distorted lens and may we see clearly as we walk through days of challenge, days of disappointment, days of grief, and days of doubt.

And Lord, may we see clearly as we walk through days of joy, days of successes, and days of victory!

No matter what kind of day we have, may we see YOU in it!! And may we see what You see!

WAKE UP, SLEEPER!

It was Saturday night of the Healing & Miracle Conference in Jacksonville, FL. We were praising and worshipping our Wonderful Lord through the song, “Resurrection Power.”

At one point, I was so overcome with His presence that I fell to my knees and dropped my head to the carpet and covered my face.

As the song continued I began to see a vision of Jesus standing before the tomb of Lazarus with his right arm outstretched and saying in a powerful voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” (John 11:43)

I then saw Lazarus leave the tomb with his grave clothes swirling and floating about him. Immediately, I felt the Lord give me interpretation:

Lazarus represents the Church. Jesus is calling to His Church, His Bride, “Come forth!”

He wants us to leave all of the death and lifelessness behind. He wants to unbind us from our grave clothes–everything that is keeping us from living in the fullness that He has destined for us–and let us walk out into the world with His resurrection power!

Later, as I was discussing this vision with my friend, the Lord revealed more:

When Jesus came to Lazarus’ tomb, Mary fell at His feet, saying, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:32).

Many have been praying for the Church of the living God to arise and walk out into the world in power!

It may look like the Lord is not hearing our prayers. It may look like God is late. Mary thought the Lord should have come earlier…before Lazarus died.

BUT! Jesus came in His perfect timing…not Mary’s timing but His. And Jesus is coming in perfect timing to His Church!

Just as Jesus said to His disciples, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go so that I may awaken him out of sleep” …so Jesus is saying to us …I am coming so that I may awaken you out of sleep!!

WAKE UP, SLEEPER!

Ahhhhh, LORD!!  Thank You for Your perfect timing!  Thank You that You are calling forth Your End Time Army!  Thank You that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness! Thank You for Your love of Your Bride! Thank You for awakening us to our destiny!!
