TAKE THE LEAP!!
The New Year is upon us!
I hear the Lord calling us to a deeper faith…a stronger faith…a focused faith.
We are being called to take a leap of faith! We are being propelled by the power of the Holy Spirit to leave our “comfort zone” and make a leap into our future!
I see the Lord lifting us up and above those things that would hold us down, The wind of the Holy Spirit will carry us over those places that seem impossible to navigate.
Don’t look down…don’t focus on your ability to make the jump! Look up!! Focus on the Lord and HIS ability!
Get ready!! Focus!! Breathe deeply and let the breath of God fill your lungs!!
TAKE THE LEAP!!

The Hope of Glory
Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16
May we reflect the Light of Christ today and every day! Mary carried the physical Jesus and gave Him birth into the world. We carry the spiritual Jesus -Christ in us, the hope of glory. ~Colossians 1:27
Lord, may we join You in releasing Your presence, Your power, Your mercy, and Your love everywhere we go!
We honor and celebrate YOU, Jesus, on this day and every day of the year! HALLELUJAH!!

I CELEBRATE!
Dearest Jesus,
I celebrate Your physical birth upon this earth so many years ago.
I celebrate Your life – showing us by example and teaching how to live.
I celebrate Your willingness to lay down Your life for us.
I celebrate Your resurrection and Your spiritual life being lived out in and through us.
I celebrate You in us – the hope of glory.
I celebrate!
God’s Eyes
“The problem is, many of the people in need of saving are in churches, and at least part of what they need saving from is the idea that God sees the world the same way they do.” – Barbara Brown Taylor
As I read this a few days ago, I knew that it was true. We often forget that our human perspective is different from God’s. It is difficult for us to look beyond the surface.
What we see physically is not all there is! What lies below the surface is equally important (and may be more important).
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 NIV
Lord, may we see with Your eyes! Peel back our distorted lens and may we see clearly as we walk through days of challenge, days of disappointment, days of grief, and days of doubt.
And Lord, may we see clearly as we walk through days of joy, days of successes, and days of victory!
No matter what kind of day we have, may we see YOU in it!! And may we see what You see!

You Have All of Me!!
We must step away of letting others determine our level of commitment to The Lord.
We need to be true to Him and what level HE is calling us to!
We are in a time of decision…will we only go as far as is comfortable and only as far as is appropriate in the eyes of others?
Or will we raise our faces and our hands to the heavens and say, “I’m not holding back, Lord! You have all of me!!”
GLORY! GLORY! GLORY!!
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”
Mark 12:30 NIV
A Fire in my Bones!
Sometimes I will be talking to someone and the Lord will give me a Word for them. It will be a Word of encouragement…a Word of calling forth what He has purposed for them.
Sometimes it will be a Word directly from the Bible and sometimes it will be a Word from His heart to theirs.
This can happen one-on-one or it can happen in a group situation when I am teaching, preaching, or giving a message.
It can happen when I am walking into a store and the Lord will show me someone He wants me to go to and speak His love for them. I can choose to walk away and not be obedient to His call…but His Word stirring within me is indeed like a fire burning in my bones!
It also happens when I am on social media. I can be looking at a photo and the Lord will speak a Word to me as I’m looking at it. This happened recently with an “eagle photo” a friend of mine posted. I will be writing a post with this Word soon.
Also, many times as I’m writing a comment or a private message to someone…the Lord will begin to speak a specific Word to them that I find myself typing. It’s not planned…it just flows forth.
Ahhhhh Lord! Continue to speak Your Word through me!! Continue to breathe on the fire that is within me and make it burn brighter! I am forever Yours, Almighty God!!
Fast Food Prayer
I was in a fast food restaurant for lunch with my friends after Bible Study. As I walked in the door, I saw one of the staff standing by a supply closet. I said, “Hi, how are you doing?” Something I say to many people without really thinking about it.
My eyes were looking into his as I asked my question. I normally would have continued walking as I heard his response, “Fine.”
But, our eyes were locked…I couldn’t look away…and the Lord wasn’t allowing me to continue walking.
I found myself walking towards him and I saw the faint look of surprise as he saw me coming.
I found myself saying, “How are you really doing? Is there something I can pray with you about?”
“Yes,” he said, “You can pray for my eyes.”
So, without asking any details, I just let the Lord lead me in praying for his eyes to be healed.
I’m so thankful that the Lord made me stop and meet this man at his point of need!
Give me more opportunities, Lord, for Your glory!!
DO YOU HAVE POWER?
Many people lost their electricity during Hurricane Irma (me included).
As I started going out again after things had settled down – I found myself asking people:
“Do you have power?”
As soon as I asked a few people, the Lord called my attention to what I was saying!
Then I began saying, “Of course, you have POWER! You have the power of Almighty God within you! I should say, do you have electricity?”
Beloved, no matter what circumstances you find yourself in – remember – you still have the indwelling presence of the Lord within you! His power continues to move in your life apart from physical lack or limitations.
You have the power of God to change your circumstances! You have the power of God to speak to the storms that are trying to knock you off your feet!
Don’t look at your limitations – look at God’s abundant provision! His power dwelling within you – the power of the Holy Spirit – doesn’t fail because of bad weather and storms in your life. His power doesn’t depend on manmade generators trying to work up enough power. His power is eternal, everlasting, and dependable! So I ask you:
DO YOU HAVE POWER?
