IT’S A NEW YEAR!
It’s time to leave behind those things that have bound you up;
that have kept you from living the life that God has called you to live;
that have caused you to live in darkness instead of light.
IT’S A NEW YEAR!
It’s time to tune our hearing to God’s frequency of sound;
to tune out the sounds of disharmony, disunity, and disappointment.
IT’S A NEW YEAR!
It’s time to rise up and discard our dead, unproductive life habits
and embrace a life of faith, power, and love.
IT’S A NEW YEAR!
BE RELEASED INTO YOUR DESTINY!
As I sit here tonight thinking about the New Year that is approaching, I feel deeply the words “change ahead.”
There will be change in our world; change in our government; change in our cities; change in our communities; change in our churches; change in our families; and change in our lives.
Change can be scary; it can be challenging; but it is inevitable. To grow physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually means there will be change in our lives.
Change shouldn’t take place just for the sake of change. But, it does need to take place. It also needs to be God directed! What we think needs to change may not align with what God thinks.
We also need to be careful about telling others THEY need to change before we seek God on how WE need to change. Help us, Lord!
My prayer for this New Year is that we will allow God to move mightily in our lives and change our fear into faith; our doubt into trust; our pride into humility; our weakness into strength; and our self centered thinking into God centered thinking.
I pray that we will think before we speak; listen before we speak; and always speak in love.
I pray that those plans and ideas and ministries that have been put on the “back burner” will be moved forward! It’s time! Seek the Lord for He is waiting!
There is change ahead! And if we let God lead the change – all will be well!!
I praise You when I awaken…I praise You as I go about my day…and I praise You as I lay down to sleep.
May my soul, mind, and spirit be filled with thoughts of You, Lord, and may I reflect Your Light in everything I say and do this day!

Holy Spirit, may You “write” on my tongue the words of the Father! May I speak His Words! May I be His voice to the nations!! Anoint my mouth for Your service…
I looked around my room and realized the time had come! There were piles everywhere! Clothes, books, papers, shoes…how had I let it get so junked up? I like for things to be organized. I like to have things in place. When my surroundings are in order…I feel more in order. When things around me are in chaos…I feel a sense of being out of control.
There is so much going on in our world right now. It is easy to get caught up in the things that are piling up around us. It is easy to let ourselves get caught up in the chaos that is swirling around us.
So! I was determined to get those things under control that were indeed in my control. As I began to pick up one thing after another and put it in its correct place, I found myself picking up an upside down post-it note holder.
As my eyes fell on the note that I had scribbled down sometime in the past, I stopped and received the message that God was speaking to me right now!
Brothers and Sisters, no matter what is happening in your life; no matter what chaos or disorder you are dealing with; hear God speaking!
Do not be afraid! He is with you! He will cause ALL things to work together for your good! And when all is said and done —HE will get the glory!! HALLELUJAH!!
So many times our perspective of situations and circumstances are totally different from the Lord’s perspective!
He knows the beginning and the end…and all that is in-between.
May we remember that we are seated in heavenly places with Him! (Ephesians 2:6).
May our perspective be a heavenly perspective…an eternal perspective…and not that of the flesh.
May it be so, LORD….
