I was feeling a little down tonight. I began to straighten and clean off my bed … I tend to have little piles of books and index cards and Bibles scattered across the comforter.
Then, all of a sudden, I looked down and there it was – a white feather! This has only happened to me once before – years ago in church. The Lord uses so many ways to remind us He is there; that He loves and cares for us!
When I looked upon the white feather, it reminded me of the white feathers of a dove. And the dove is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. It was as if I heard Him speaking, “I am here, Tina. I am always here…”
You are welcome in my home, Holy Spirit! You are welcome in my church and in my life! Thank You for empowering me to live out my life glorifying Jesus! Thank You for guiding me and giving me deeper revelation of God’s Truth! Thank You for reminding me of Your Presence! Blessed be the name of the Lord!!
“Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”” (Luke 3:21-22 NASB)
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:4 NIV)
Beautiful reminder! Thanks.
